100 Word Story

Stefano opened the ancient book on the probably older table. “Tables were built before books”, he thought, “what else do you read books on top of”? Stefano stumbled upon a hidden room in the Royal Library of Amsterdam. He was looking for a mysterious book called “Leafen Joy Portal “, when he found and took that book off the shelf, mechanical whirring noises filled the eery “Amsterdamus Mysterium” room. The shelf swung out to reveal the hidden room. The first page of the ancient book read, “Welcome, synaptic adventurer. Roll up these pages and smoke them, and your adventure shall continue!”
