Liverpool F.C., historically one of the greatest clubs in European history. They’ve fallen on hard times. Last year they almost won the Premier League, but this year…………oh dear, they suck.
If you’re reading this Mr. Rodgers, and you probably are, I have detailed the formation and player lineup that I think will help you out quite a lot.
Now, this formation presumes that Daniel Sturridge is fit, and all your players are fit.
Formation – – 4-4-2 (flat 4 in midfield, with license to roam around as the players see fit)
RB-Glen Johnson CB-Dejan Lovren CB-Kolo Toure LB-Alberto Moreno
RM-Lazar Markovic CM-Emre Can CM-Jordan Henderson LM-Adam Lallana
ST-Raheem Sterling ST-Daniel Sturridge
Now, it saddens me, but I have left the legendary Steven Gerrard out of the team, because he’s quite old now, and perhaps he should be brought on as a super substitute on occasion to lift the spirit of the whole team and supporters, and maybe score a goal every now and then.
Martin Skrtel doesn’t belong in this team, he’s too independent, makes too many defensive mistakes and gives away too many fouls. Sorry, Martin.
Adam Lallana simply MUST be in the team each week, no idea why he isn’t. He’s a great old-school player, creative, great passer, just put him in, Brendan, dammit!
And Raheem Sterling, although technically a midfield player, should be molded into a full-on striker. He has the speed and skills, all he needs to work on is his finishing, that will come in time no doubt, he’ll probably be the best English player for generations in a few years.
So, Brendan Rodgers? Give this a read and do it. Think about it, you’ve got nothing to lose, do you?
